It has been awhile since I read a novella I usually avoid them for two reasons The story usually feel rushed My inability to connect with the characters, due to poor character development. However, I was in the mood for something short and sweet and this looked like it would have hit the spot My experience with the author s work helped my decision greatly.I am familiar with the world created by the author so diving into this book was no biggie for me That being said, I think it would be wise to read Calm Assurance and Destiny s Favor before jumping into this installment. From the moment I began reading, I found myself immersed into the story and eager to learn about the characters, especially Andreus I knew the reason for his incarceration, but I was curious to learn what to led to the tragic moment that rob him of most of his life Learning what led to the violent outburst was heartbreaking and I could not fault him for his actions.Jaci Allen has yet to come to terms with the tragic loss of her husband and daughter Immersing herself into her work is her way of dealing with their deaths However, she was nothing but a shell, wandering aimlessly searching for a purpose A purpose that would come to light when she crossed paths with Andreus.Jaci and Andreus connection to each other transcends the physical From the moment their paths crossed, it was clear they were each other s destiny I liked the fact they both learnt and discovered things about themselves Andreus, became aware of what and who he was Jaci s eyes were open to the things, which appeared impossible Her life as she knew it was about to go through dramatic changes.I appreciated her skepticism Her need to question the strange events revealed her cautious nature I would not have expected less, in light of the tragic events from her past. This is a well written story with relatable characters and a captivating writing style that will cause readers to feel they are a part of this world. The problem I had with this story is the ending I am not sure if I would call it a cliffhanger, but it left me with many questions So I am guessing, there will be another book and I hoping I guessed right. Conclusion RecommendationOverall, this was a wonderful addition to the series I am eager to know what else Ms Raye has in store for her fans.

It is the first story I have read by Dariel Raye, and I am very impressed She built the atmosphere of mystery and tension very well, and unveiled each piece of the puzzle in a way, that kept me on the edge of my seat The story was fast paced, with a few twists and turns, and a couple of big surprises Not knowing what Orlosian warriors were, that was a big one.The characters were very interesting and complicated Both Jaci and Andreus struggle with their traumatic past, hunted by the reassuring nightmares, but feeling an instant bond the moment they met It was very easy to care about both of them, about their tragedies and what they will face in the future I liked them very much, and would love to read about them again. The whole premise of the Orlosian universe and who they were was fascinating I loved following Andreus awaking, from a vague feeling of being different, to fully embracing his powers And the electricity between Jaci and Andreus was wonderful Highly recommended to any paranormal romance lover Or to anybody, who would like to try this genre I was hooked from the beginning to the end and would love to read about this universe.

Jaci Allen Rothschild is trying to get over the death of her husband and daughter and is the Director of Social Services She has just got a new job as a Youthful Offender Parole Outreach Program and she is looking forward to a change.Andreus Shannon is in prison for murder He is one of the feared prisoners and has nightmares from his past When he is accepted into a new program he receives Jaci as his mentor. What neither really realize is how they are linked and what being together really means. This was a great introduction to the series and it definitely intrigues me I felt so bad for Jaci and what she had gone through and this book explains things to her that she had no idea about I am super curious to see what happens with her in the rest of the series. When I first read about Andreus I was thinking he was going to be one way but it was interesting to know about him and I was completely thrown to learn about him.I liked meeting Rehobeth and I am super curious to see where this series is going to go and I hope the rest of it is as interesting as this one is.

An Alluring StoryWhen it comes to writing mystical tales that delve into conflicts and unifications among immortals and mortals with a passion and magnetism theme, the author doesn t disappoint The character driven story focuses on two protagonists, Dr Jaci Allen Rothschild, and Andreus Shannon, whose about to be released from prison and unknowingly have so much in common that eventually their paths will interlock, divulging murder, emotional mayhem, secrets, desires, and undeclared appeal The story is brilliantly written with spellbinding dialogue where you begin to feel like you re part of the story, where Andreus, and Rehobeth, the mysterious guardian, are forces you would want to have in your corner if you were facing danger But when you think you know where the story is going, the ending will leave you speculating what the future holds for Jaci and Andreus.

Very short introduction to an off shoot of the Orlosian Warriors , featuring Jaci a social worker , trying to get a program up and running for men sentenced when they were juveniles, and are now adults Andreus had been in jail than half his life for the murder of his step father if anyone deserved it, he did Just as Jaci gets Andreus and they are going to get settled fir the night, big things happen, and i do mean big Think Evil versus Good and things so shocking Jaci doesn t know what to think It ends on a cliffhanger, but believe me, I can t wait for the rest 4 s I received a gifted copy of the book and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.

I ve found Ms Raye s novels to be gripping Her Orlosian books are fascinating, beautifully written, and character driven Both the main protagonists, Dr Jaci Allen Rothschild and Andreus Shannon, have convoluted pasts, and without realizing it they are almost intrinsically linked There is a war going on between good and evil, and Jaci, whether she wants to accept it or not, has become one of the major players While this isn t a super long book, it is definitely worth the read.

Outreach is the first book in the Orlosion Warrior series that I have read At the beginning, be prepared to feel like you are thrown into a story and you ve missed a section Hang in there and keep reading as it gets better This can be read as a standalone but the ending is open the next book in the series There is violence I haven t read anything from Dariel Rate before so I wasn t sure what to expect The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I m not going to repeat that all of that info here There are clues in the storyline that keep you guessing what will be revealed next While it is short, it is an interesting storyline and worth taking the time to read I look forward to reading of these books to find out .
